The use of africancfta.org

africancfta.org content is for personal and non-commercial use. There will be no fee charges for accessing content on africancfta.org website and/or mobile applications. AfCFTA secretariat is the sole owner of site content including logos, trade names, articles, stories, images, videos, audios, publications etc. africancfta.org services and contents are protected by the copyright laws of the African Union member state that host the AfCFTA secretariat. 
It is unlawful to publish or transfer africancfta.org content on other portals without crediting the source and prior permission from the secretary of AfCFTA. 


The content and all material available on this website and/or mobile application cannot be used, transmitted or reproduced in whole or part, in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording or by for use in any information storage or retrieval system without permission in writing from the publisher and AfCFTA secretariat except as provided in the terms and conditions of use herein.  
Publications (articles) provided are for public information purpose only. It is required that users interested in using africancfta.org content, articles, including images, videos, audios and stories for other purposes seek permission before doing so.
The AfCFTA secretariat maintains this web site and/or mobile applications as courtesy to public users. 
Unless expressly stated otherwise, publications, stories, news articles, images, video and audio contents, findings, interpretations and conclusions expressed in the materials on this web site and/or mobile application are those of the various AfCFTA stakeholders who are professional in their respective fields or of consultants and advisers to the AfCFTA secretariat who prepared the work and do not necessarily represent the views of the AfCFTA or its member states signatory of the AfCTA agreement.


There is no payment required to publish and/or access an article or any other material of the content of africancfta.org web site and/or mobile application. Authors are required to contact and submit their content or articles to the AfCFTA secretariat. The article submitted will be sorely processed on the web site and/or mobile application by the secretariat of AfCFTA prior being published on africancfta.org. The content shall be published on africancfta.org after terms and conditions regarding this aspect have been met.

Comments, chatting and reader reviews

Uploading and distributing pornographic, infringing, obscene, indecent or unlawful material, libelous, defamatory, abusive comments/chats, and/or reviews on either africancfta.org or its social media pages such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram is prohibited.
Hate speech or language that seeks to abuse persons based on their gender, age, religion is also not allowed. In some instances, comments, chats information or reviews on videos, stories and social media pages could be deleted if deemed inappropriate and do not meet africancfta.org terms of use.

Registration and Security

Users are required to provide personal information including email addresses and passwords or their social media account such as Twitter or Facebook to allow them interact on africancfta.org website and/or mobile application during the chatting function and users profiling. The registration is for an individual and not groups. It is imperative for users to provide accurate details as this will determine the success or failure of the registration process.


AfCFTA mobile application (mobile app) is available for downloads on google play store and the apple store. This app basically gives users an opportunity to have access to africancfta.org site stories on the convenience of their mobile devices. We shall however not be responsible for damages that might occur to the device or the app in the process of either downloading, removing or using the app.


The content provided on this web site and/or mobile application are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Secretariat of AfCFTA specifically does not make any warranties or representations as to the accuracy or completeness of any such content. The Secretariat of AfCFTA periodically adds, changes, improves or updates the content on this web site and/or mobile application without notice. Under no circumstances shall the Secretariat of AfCFTA be liable for any loss, damage, liability or expense incurred or suffered that is claimed to have resulted from the use of this website and/or mobile application, including, without limitation, any fault, error, omission, interruption or delay with respect thereto. 
The use of this website and or mobile application is at the user’s sole risk. Under no circumstances, including but not limited to negligence, shall the Secretariat of AfCFTA or its affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, even if the Secretariat of AfCFTA has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The user specifically acknowledges and agrees that the Secretariat of AfCFTA is not liable for any conduct of any user. Neither the Secretariat of AfCFTA nor its affiliates, nor any of their respective agents, employees, information providers or content providers, shall be liable to any user or anyone else for any inaccuracy, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, alteration of or use of any content herein, or for its timeliness or completeness, nor shall they be liable for any failure of performance, computer virus, IT infrastructure defects or communication line failure, regardless of cause, or for any loss or damages resulting therefrom.
As a condition of use of this web site and/or mobile application, the public user agrees to indemnify the Secretariat of AfCFTA and its affiliates from and against any and all actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of the user’s use of this web site and/or mbile application including, without limitation, any claims alleging facts that if true would constitute a breach by the user of these terms and conditions. If the user is dissatisfied with any content on this web site and/or mobile application or with any of its Terms and Conditions of Use, the user’s sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using this web site and/or mobile application.

These  linked sites are not under the control of the Secretariat of AfCFTA, and the Secretariat of AfCFTA is not responsible for the content of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. The Secretariat of AfCFTA  provides these links only as a convenience, and the inclusion of a link or reference does not imply the endorsement of the linked site by the Secretariat of AfCFTA.
